Delivering Business Success Internationally with Best for Business

Local, National Co-opetition and Global Market Access.

A DTi study showed that firms reported a number of benefits from belonging to collaborative networks, including increased competitiveness, quality of goods and services and efficient working practices (BERR 2008 – Dti 2006).

Best for Business believe in inspiring all local and national businesses to work in co-opitition. This is where competitors collaborate with one another on developing and obtaining high value business that neither could achieve alone.

Best for Business helps to deliver this by providing a central, on-line, permission based, peer to peer networking platform to all local authorities where established businesses and start ups can all collaborate with one another in a secure peer to peer environment and openly discuss opportunities between the two parties.

This service is permission based enabling business owners to filter approaches as they are made, and accept or decline the collaboration.

As this is a local programme linked to the national platform which is also linked to the international trade platform it caters for businesses to collaborate on a local, national or International basis thus opening the opportunities of national or international market access by collaborating through the same secure platform.

This approach provides UK business owners with large cost savings as they no longer need to pay for OMIS services through UKTI to gain entry level, or distribution level information, services or support.

This is due to the fact that they now have unrestricted access to actual business owners and advice services in a wide range of countries to either partner projects in to those countries or to aid in distribution and access.

The programme will also be providing all businesses with free access to specialist export advice services to help with the integration and adoption of international trade issues.

Whilst the national platform is set to go live throughout the UK, through local programmes or direct services where no local programme is adopted, the international programme currently has agreements in place to go live in over 20 international locations with negotiations taking place in China, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Russia and Germany as well.

The objective of the programme is to provide a break free point for start ups and established business owners to begin open trade on a local, national and international basis through a central, secure, peer to peer permission based platform providing help and support every step of the way.
